PanelFacts2011 – New Solar Panel Pricing Report for the US Retail Market has Been Released by PanelPrice.com, a Leading Solar Module Price Comparison Service

Cologne, Germany (PRWEB) July 18, 2011

Technology marketing specialist HMG and operator of PanelPrice.com, a leading price comparison service for solar panel prices has just released PanelFacts2011 – a new report on solar panel pricing that focuses on the US online retail market.

?Our latest report summarizes some the most popular solar panels that customers currently look at on our website,? explains Jens Bonerz, CEO of HMG. “We have also added some extra information into the study about past pricing development and the lowest price per watt peak (PPW).”

PanelPrice.com helps home and business owners to find the best solar panel prices by comparing multiple merchant offers on the website. Project developers for commercial large scale PV sites also use it. ?While we put everything together, we found some quite interesting facts.” said Bonerz. “One of them was that there are large price gaps between the highest and the lowest price for a given solar panel.”

According to one of HMG’s analysts, consumers were able to save as much as 33% on a SANYO HIP200BA19 200 watt solar panel between January and June 2011. In that sense, the study showed the need for solar panel price comparison and the large potential to save money in the purchase process. The study also showed that consumers currently focus on solar panels with 200 or more watts and that there are manufacturers that are more successful than their competition.

Hundreds of panels and nearly 1,000 prices available.

PanelPrice.com lists almost 1,000 solar panel prices for hundreds of different solar panels. That makes the site one of the most comprehensive price comparison services for solar panel shopping. Since its launch in February, PanelPrice.com was able to constantly grow and extend its base. Within 5 months, the number of merchants that got approved for a listing nearly doubled. Visitor traffic to the site quadrupled.
